Cook, bake, knit, paint to support women’s higher education!

Anyone can host a WEP Fun Raiser. Invite family and friends to a creative event in which they enjoy your hobby, learn about WEP and contribute to the cause of women’s higher education.

Events that raise $250 send one WEP student to college and offer her WEP courses, bus transportation, books, supplies and nutritional supplements. Share the WEP story with your guests and make a difference. WEP provides Kumquat Cupcakery cupcakes and tea for events held in New York City.

How to Host:

1. Contact info@womenseducationproject.org for a kit
2. Print WEP downloadable materials for your guests
3. Decide how you will collect funds: at the door or direct guests to WEP’s paypal link or your own online giving page at firstgiving.com

Fun Raiser Ideas:

Host a WEP tea, cookie party, scrabble competition, or yoga class. Celebrate Mother’s Day, birthdays, and other holidays.

WEP supporter Doe Boyle brought the philanthropic spirit to her holiday giving this season.

Alongside gifts of homemade rosemary oil, Boyle donated $200 to the WEP cause in her friends’ names. This amount is enough to send one WEP student to college, as well as provide her with the necessary supplies to further her education.

Boyle also organized a community book drive to gather textbooks for WEP centers. By keeping drop-off boxes on her porch and directing packages to the WEP office, Boyle collected these valuable resources for WEP students.
